Tips and Hints

What kind of Garbage Bags;

Most everyone likes their own bag, we like the cheap bags. We will say this, brand name bags do not mean it’s a quality bag. And thicker is not necessarily better. Most of the time Its the seams that leak. So take your cheap thin bags and double bag. Do not put 1 bag inside of the other and then proceed to apply the BagButton and remove the air.

Double bagging; If you wish for your vacuum packed items to last for a few seasons or more, double bag. Vacuum pack your item in the first bag, remove BagButton and o-ring then tie off. Put that bag into another bag, knot first and then repeat. Sealing one bag to the other.

Do not use bags that are connected together and have to be ripped apart.  Ripping them apart can easily tear the seam or reduce its integrity.

We’ve had a lot of people write in with suggestions of what bag to use, for example.

· Rite Aid clear garbage bag 33 gallon 0.75 mil thick

· Fred Meyers clear garbage bag 33 and 45 gallon 0.90 mil thick

· Home Depot and many other hardware stores carry 33-45-55-70 gallon clear construction bag 1.00 mil thick plus.

· Costco 33 gallon clear Kirkland bags 0.75 mil thick.

· Glad makes a 13 gallon white trash liner that is a food grade bag.

There are so many difference sizes of garbage bags on the market, we have found some as small as 6 gallons and up to 90 gallons. They can be clear, white, black, gray, and even blue in color. It’s good to use clear bags but not necessary.

There are many more bags out in the market place and we will try to get to most of them, so keep checking back for our reports here on the site. We will keep you informed.

Motorcycle Club use the BagButton for local and cross country trips. You will find them lined up at the car wash using the vacuum cleaners. With the BagButton and plastic bags they water proof, compress and store all their clothes on their bikes. Look for the BagButton at your local  Cycle shops, all across the Country.

Postal service, Mailing and Shipping

You can save the cost of one BagButton over and over again and again. The more you put in a box by compressing the items, the less boxes you will need to ship. $$ Less is best. You will not only be compressing your items but preserving and protecting them also.

· Sending the kids off to collage, Army, or just to camp.

· Sending emergency supplies and gear nationally and internationally.

· Power sellers on EBay have cut some of their shipping costs in half with the BagButton.

BagButton is an instant trash compactor.

Most of us use a garbage bag to line the inside of our trash can, and with the BagButton you will compact that garbage right in the can.

The camping trash will not take up the whole back end of your vehicle ever again. What you don’t burn you will reduce by half, lock in the orders and bring back to dispose of later.

A lot of us already own a hand pump for airing up our rafts, kids toys, pools etc. When using the inflate deflate hand pump for trash compacting, you will use the big tip adapter on the end of the hose and shove the tip all the way into and through the BagButton's opening. On deflate, remove the air, remove the BagButton and o-ring then tie off your garbage.

Moving and Storage

Protect items from damage, mildew; dust, dirt and moisture during and after a move.

BagButton will significantly reduce the volume of items in a move, saving a tremendous amount of space in a moving van and reduce the number of do-it-yourself trips.

A very big concern when storing you belongings in a storage facility is damage.

· Seal out moisture and mildew, dirt and soiling from nearby items, bugs, and dust.

· Clothing, bedding, pillows, towels, sheets, linens, seasonal items, stuffed toys, etc, will all be protected.

· Storing some items in (filing cabinet, dresser drawers, unused suitcases, trunks etc. will further protect your belongings).

· The BagButton will help do all this and much much more very economically.

Camping, Hiking, biking.

For the recreational individual or family there is never enough room, especially in the backpack.

BagButton will recover the already endangered real-estate and open up a new era for the backpackers  and hikers of the world.

All the vacuum space saving storage bags you will ever need for the price of a plastic garbage bag.

Family Disaster Supplies Kit Includes BagButton

Disasters happen anytime and anywhere. And when disaster strikes, you may not have much time to respond. A highway spill of hazardous material could mean instant evacuation. A winter storm could confine your family at home. An earthquake, flood, tornado or any other disaster could cut off basic services—gas, water, electricity and telephones—for days.

Your family will cope best by preparing for disaster before it strikes. One way to prepare is by assembling a Disaster Supplies Kit. Once disaster hits, you won’t have time to shop or search for supplies. But if you’ve gathered supplies in advance, your family can endure an evacuation or home confinement.

There are six basics you should stock in your home:

Water, food, first aid supplies, clothing and bedding, tools and emergency supplies and special items.

Keep the items that you would most likely need during an evacuation in an easy-to-carry container. Possible containers include a large, covered trash container, camping backpack, or a duffle bag and large plastic water proof bags.

Store your kit in a convenient place known to all family members. Keep a smaller version of the Disaster Supplies Kit in the trunk of your car. Keep items in air tight plastic bags. Change your stored water supply every six months so it stays fresh. Rotate your stored food every six months.

Re-think your kit and family needs at least once a year. Replace batteries, update clothes, etc.

Ask your physician or pharmacist about storing prescription medications.
